BASSANI ROAD RAGE 2 into 1 HEADER

I so wanted a Thunder Header for my 06 Road Glide. Coming from the Buell and Sport Bike world I new that 2 into 1 most often makes the best power. I was visiting my local e Performance Shop R & R cycles to pick up some CP Piston to rebuild me 95 inch motor. Art and I started talking about pipes and the only pipe they had on the wall was the Bassani Road Rage 2 into 1 pipe.

Here are the details of what I was told, and what I’ve read about this amazing pipe. The Road Rage’s Power curve starts with stepped, equal-length header pipes that boost power way down Low. We half to face it people most of us will never hit rev-line on are Harley’s. The price of speeding ticket for 30 mph over the limit is pretty huge. Plus you could lose your license.

So 0-80 is what I’m interested. I’m talking 2000 rpm’s – about 3600 rpm’s is where I live and expect the power to come on hard. So Bassani built the pipe with this idea in mine and produced a pipe that works right where you need it in the real world.

So you have stepped headers of equal length. A 4 inch megaphone muffler with fiberglass-wrapped baffles that is removable for service. You can have Chrome or flat black. The system bolts up to the OEM mounts. I’m told this system will work with anything from 80 inches to 131 inches.

Installation was a snap. You can order the system with full coverage heat shields. I didn’t order the shields. Instead I called up DEI and ordered some Black heat tape and there spray for heat tape. The effect is unreal in the looks department and the heat is kept in the pipe and forced out the tail-pipe. This equals more power.

I have 1000 miles on the pipe at this time. I’ve ridden in rain and even a small snow shower and the pipe still looks great. The exhaust tape has held up great so far to date. My plans for Sunday are to go to my friends Craig’s at Hell Fire Performance and do some tuning and then report back the results. The motor Stat’s are the following: 95 inches with CP piston 3,875 bore done to stock Cylinders by R&R cycles. I’m running the stock cam plate with chain drive and 203 Screaming Eagle Cams. I also have the Force Winder Scream Eagle style are Cleaner. My plans are to get the S&S double style cleaner with the two filters sometime this summer.

So check back soon for the results.
