DNA 52 Spoked 21 inch wheel.
April 16, 2010So it’s almost April! The guy’s are pulling out their bikes and parts they purchased over the winter. Shawn is Jay’s brother who did the Baddads fender install earlier this winter. Shawn wanted a bit more WOW factor on his ride this season. So Shawn purchased a DNA wheel. This is the thick 52 spoked Wheel which is the 21 inch wheel. He also ordered brake rotors to match the wheel. The only thing you half to do is drill out the Fender mounting holes to make it so fender so it won’t rube. It also makes the lines of the fender and the wheel look correct. I also like the fact that you don’t need to run a tube in this spoked wheel. Make sure you tighten the air valve before installing the tire. The 3 wheels from DNA I’ve mounted came with the Valves not tight. DNA does supply the spacer parts to install on the older style FL wheels. We used the stock spacers with no issues. I recommend floating Rotors when adding new rotors. Also make sure you install new brake pads when installing new Rotors.
I know Shawn is planning a Custom Fender over the next couple of Months. He’s also planing on Chroming up the front end. Shawn was pretty pumped when he left on Saturday to show off his new Custom DNA Wheel. I’ll keep you posted on Sean’s upgrades as the season continues.
